Ethan Mbappe has confirmed his future following rumors that he could follow his older brother Kylian in leaving PSG.
According to La Parisien, coach Luis Enrique asked Ethan Mbappe if he would leave the team in the summer transfer window, to which he smiled and replied, “No, I’m staying at PSG.”
Ethan Mbappe was present at training on February 17th, after his brother Kylian announced to his teammates that he would be leaving PSG at the end of the current season, as his contract expires in June 2024. This provides some consolation to the fans of the French capital club, as they will at least retain a promising talent who is not inferior to Kylian Mbappe. The 1998-born forward is expected to sign a contract with Real Madrid as a free agent for the 2024/25 season, but the Spanish club will not make any official announcement until the current season concludes. With Mbappe expressing his desire to join Bernabeu and vice versa, it wouldn’t be surprising if this transfer happens.
However, before leaving Parc de Prince, the 25-year-old player will aim to win as many titles as possible with the club. Les Parisiens have already won the French Super Cup and currently sit at the top of the Ligue 1 standings with an 11-point lead. They secured a 2-0 victory in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 against Real Sociedad earlier this week and have advanced to the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France.
As for Ethan Mbappe, the future of this young talent looks bright after promising performances whenever he’s given the opportunity. As a midfielder, it’s not an exaggeration to say that Ethan Mbappe is the midfield boss of the future for the French capital club.
