Diogo Dalot: He provided an excellent cross for Scott McTominay’s goal and made a brilliant save to deny Simms at the other end. However, his positioning was off when Simms scored. Harry Maguire: The only experienced center-back available and regained his scoring touch with a precise header just before halftime. Continued to perform well and was United’s best player. Kobbie Mainoo: Composed performance against lower-tier opposition who didn’t press much. Another memorable Wembley outing after his England debut, but was substituted unnecessarily.
