Manchester United and Aston Villa are both considering a cut-price transfer move for Reinildo, the Mozambique international left-back. With only a year remaining on his Atletico Madrid contract, he could be available for around £8 million. Reinildo suffered a cruciate ligament tear in February 2023, which limited his appearances for Atletico Madrid upon his return. Juventus has also been monitoring him as a potential signing. Manchester United, in particular, has expressed interest in reinforcing their left-back position due to injuries and uncertain futures of their current players. However, Aston Villa’s potential offer of Champions League football may give them an edge.
If Reinildo were to join the Premier League, he would be the first player from Mozambique to do so.
