Manchester United fans openly criticised Amad Diallo following his performance against Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Amad Diallo spent the season on loan at Sunderland, where the Ivory Coast international excelled.

The Ivorian wonderkid was on Manchester United’s pre-season tour last summer and appeared to be part of Erik ten Hag’s plans at Old Trafford.

Diallo, on the other hand, missed the first several games of United’s current Premier League season due to a knee injury sustained in a pre-season friendly against Arsenal.

The Ivorian made his long-awaited comeback to first-team action in December, when United lost 2-1 at City Ground to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

Despite fans’ want to see more of Diallo, he has struggled to obtain consistent playing time under United manager Erik ten Hag since his return from injury.

The Manchester United winger, who joined from Atalanta in 2021, made six Premier League appearances off the bench.

Despite just appearing off the bench, Diallo delighted supporters with his performance in the FA Cup quarter-finals against Liverpool in March, winning 4-3.

The former Atalanta player came off the bench to score the winner against Liverpool in United’s thrilling FA Cup victory at Old Trafford.

Diallo, who had been linked with a January exit from United, made his first start of the season on Sunday under Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag.

The Ivory Coast winger started ahead of Antony, who was highly lambasted for his performance in the 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.

Diallo was energetic in the first half against Arsenal, demonstrating the dynamic threat he can bring to United’s attacking line.

The United attacker’s performance once again aroused concerns among fans about former Ajax star Antony starting ahead of him.

Diallo’s influence decreased in the second half, and Ten Hag replaced him with Antony in the 70th minute.

Red Devils fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, have asked Ten Hag to keep Diallo ahead of Antony in the starting lineup.
