The attacker has been linked with Manchester United since his breakout season at RB Salzburg in 2022, but the move fell through, and the Red Devils turned their attention to other prospects, eventually signing Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta. Elvis Basanovic, Sesko’s agent, was photographed watching as Manchester United lost 1-0 to championship contenders Arsenal.

Sesko has also been extensively connected with Arsenal this season, as the Gunners continue to look for a striker to add to an already impressive team, with Mikel Arteta seeking reliable firepower up front as they aim to take the next step forward.

This season, the 20-year-old striker has 17 goals in 41 games across all competitions and has found some terrific form near the conclusion of the season, currently on a six-game scoring run in the Bundesliga. According to sources, the Slovenian has a €50 million release clause (£42.7 million/$53.9 million), and clubs will undoubtedly want to sign the hitman this summer.

Sesko will be back in action on Saturday, May 18, when Leipzig face Eintracht Frankfurt, hoping to extend his scoring streak to seven games.
