Manchester United have completely sanctioned a summer transfer for Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise, but they will undoubtedly face competition for his talents.

Despite an injury-plagued season with the Eagles, the Frenchman managed to score 10 goals and provide six assists in 19 Premier League outings.

Olise has recently been connected with United, and speaking to The United Stand, Fabrizio Romano has stated that the move has been fully sanctioned internally.

The reputable writer also stated that there will be competition for the attacker this summer, which might postpone his prospective move away from Oliver Glasner’s team.

He stated, “Michael Olise is 100% authorized internally throughout the new football department. There will be competition for him this summer, so any deal for him may not be completed quickly.”

Olise could address United’s right-wing concerns.Given the role’s limited innovation, the Red Devils are likely to prioritise a new right wing.

Antony has been a massive disappointment since his move from Ajax. The Brazilian scored just one goal in the Premier League during the 2023/24 season.

Meanwhile, following his split with manager Erik ten Hag, Jadon Sancho has fallen entirely out of favour. He is currently on loan with Borussia Dortmund and could be sold soon.

Alejandro Garnacho has had some success in the position this season, with four goals and two assists in 16 appearances, although he appears more dangerous on the left wing.

Amad Diallo has recently started in the position, although Ten Hag may want a more dependable candidate.

In our opinion, Olise would be an excellent choice for United. Despite missing half of the season due to hamstring ailments, he managed to score 16 goals in only 19 league games.

Aside from his goal contributions, Olise has demonstrated exceptional challenge-winning abilities. He won five duels per league game and attempted more than two dribbles.

He now has a £60 million release clause in his contract, but a deal will not be easy.

Aside from the competition, it has been stated that Palace may have a say in the player’s future, and any team cannot simply exercise the buy-out clause to sign Olise.
