Mason Greenwood ‘puts his £2m Manchester mansion up for rent’, hinting he WON’T be returning to Man United in the summer

Mason Greenwood has listed his £2 million Manchester property for rent, according to reports.

The Manchester United forward, who spent the 2023-24 season on loan at Getafe in Spain, was arrested in January 2022 on suspicion of attempted гɑpe and ʋιolence.

Charges were ultimately dropped, but the 22-year-old has not played for the Red Devils since and faces an uncertain future as the summer transfer window opens.

It was decided last year that it would be better for Greenwood to play away from United, which led to his transfer to LaLiga, but who will be his team next season remains to be seen.

One indication may have been given, however, when the forward, according to The Sun, listed his completely furnished property for rent at £14,000 a month.

The mansion is claimed to contain six bedrooms and six bathrooms, and it is being advertised privately among high-end leasing brokers.

It is believed to contain a games area, a gym, a home office, and has been branded ‘the perfect family home’.

Greenwood, whose contract with United expires next summer, has been linked with several teams ahead of the forthcoming transfer season.

He is expected to earn slightly under £80,000 per week from the club, having signed a four-and-a-half-year contract in February 2021.

Greenwood’s decision to Spain was heavily condemned, but he has received strong support from Getafe and their fans since his arrival, and he has flourished on the pitch, scoring 10 goals in 34 appearances for the LaLiga side.

According to The Athletic, Napoli has spoken with United about a possible move for the forward this summer.

Greenwood, however, is said to desire to test himself at a higher level next season, which might include clubs competing in European competitions.

According to the article, the Red Devils would prefer to sell Greenwood, but a second loan is not out of the question if they do not receive the right fee.

Greenwood is largely expected to never play for United again, although new part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has intimated that the door is not fully closed.

In February, in his first public appearance since the confirmation of his minority share in the club, the British billionaire stated: ‘He’s a Manchester United footballer, so we are in charge of football.

‘So the answer is yes; we must make decisions. It’s evident that we need to make a decision. There was no decision made.
