Kylian Mbappe has hinted that his transfer deal to Real Madrid will be finalized before Euro 2024, revealing that there are only ‘a few days’ left until an announcement is made.

Following Paris Saint-Germain’s victory in the French Cup final, Mbappe disclosed that he would unveil the next step in his career a few days after clinching the title with the capital club.

According to several experts and leading newspapers, Mbappe is expected to join Real Madrid after confirming his departure from PSG when his contract expires this summer.

After his team’s 2-1 win over Lyon in the final, Mbappe was asked by reporters why he had not yet officially disclosed his next club.

“Because I think the best thing to do is to say farewell first,” the French national team captain said at the mixed zone of Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille. “All I want is to finish everything nicely. Everything has its right timing. I will announce my new club at the appropriate time. There are only a few days left, so there’s no issue.”

When journalists pressed whether this meant the transfer would be officially announced before the national team gathers for Euro preparations in early June, Mbappe said: “I still don’t know, there are still some details. The most important thing for me is to win and experience these final emotions.”

Additionally, Mbappe reflected on his feelings as he played his final match for PSG after seven seasons of dedication and growth.

“Nostalgia and emotions. It’s amazing. I always understood where I was, experiencing this unique feeling playing for PSG. Having played at Parc des Princes, I want to introduce that to everyone,” he said.

“I am fortunate enough to experience it. What I have had, I will not experience anywhere else. Now I will experience something else, and I am sure that will be very exciting.”
