Manchester United are ready to sell Casemiro for much less than the £60 million they spent to sign the Brazilian midfielder in 2022. ESPN Brazil has broadcasted information about Casemiro’s fate, who feels hurt by the decision to exclude him from the FA Cup final by manager Erik ten Hag, and it seems like Manchester United are ready to ‘push’ him out of Old Trafford at a bargain price. Casemiro was initially named on the bench for the FA Cup final between Manchester United and Manchester City on May 25. Previously, Casemiro had been deployed as a center-back in 10 consecutive matches due to Manchester United missing several key players in this position.
Preparing for the final, center-backs Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, fully recovered from injury, were chosen by manager Erik ten Hag to start. What’s heartbreaking for Casemiro is that even the substitute role was taken away from him, and instead, 19-year-old center-back Willy Kambwala was given the task.
According to GOAL Brazil, manager Erik ten Hag explained that Casemiro was not 100% fit for the match, although this was not the case in reality. While his teammates were on the pitch in the final match of the season at Wembley, Casemiro was elsewhere.
The season seems to have ended early for Casemiro, and like many other unused players, the Brazilian midfielder was allowed to take early leave by the club. Casemiro’s wife, Anna Mariana, posted a photo of the whole family on a summer vacation flight while the team celebrated the FA Cup victory and later held a late-night party.
There are doubts about Casemiro’s future at Old Trafford after he displayed abysmal form for much of this season. Not only the experts but also the fans can easily see that Casemiro is slowing down due to his age.
