Just a few months after listing his lavish Los Angeles compound known as Villa Theos for $85 million, tech entrepreneur Jim Demetriades has now put the smaller house he owns next door up for sale, asking just under $12.5 million.

Demetriades has owned the larger 28,000 square foot, 13-bedroom, 16-bathroom property in the Beverly Hills area since 2000, when he and his then-new wife paid $8.4 million for it and then spent millions more expanding and renovating it.

In 2005, Demetriades also purchased the neighboring house, a 4-bedroom, 5-bathroom contemporary home originally built in 1956 that was previously owned by NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Demetriades bought it for around $6.5 million.

Sitting on nearly an acre of land with sweeping city and ocean views, the 6,300 square foot house features high ceilings, walls of glass, a sunken living room with a wet bar and fireplace, an office, library loft, formal dining room, and an updated kitchen. The primary suite has a seating area, private patio, and luxurious bathroom. Outdoor amenities include a pool and patio areas.
