Expressing his excitement, Tatum stated, “First of all, I still can’t believe I got my first signature shoe, and now that I’m on my second signature shoe, the inner kid in me comes out because I’m living out my dream in real time.”
The Tatum 2 was meticulously crafted to complement Tatum’s style of play, blending precision and power. Its construction features large foam and textile pods strategically placed to alleviate pressure points during play. Additionally, the shoe boasts a modified herringbone traction pattern on the outsoles for enhanced grip and a proprietary Air Strobel for improved responsiveness and durability.
Design-wise, the Tatum 2 pays homage to ’90s hoop shoes with bold and vibrant elements. Tatum’s personal touches, such as his jersey number, signature, and his son’s name, add a unique touch to the design.
The Tatum 2 will be available in kids’ sizes and features a collapsible injected TPU tailgate system for easy wear. The first colorway, “Momma’s Boy,” is set to release on March 5, 2024, paying tribute to Tatum’s close bond with his mother with volt accents and a floral print.
