According to Deadline.com, comedian Kevin Hart is not just going to act in the upcoming movie “Ballers”, but he will also collaborate on the script. The story, written by Hart along with Joe Wells, Chris Spencer, and Harry Ratchford, follows two competitive brothers facing unexpected circumstances. Hart’s character is overshadowed by his taller, more athletic NBA superstar brother, played by LeBron James. However, Hart’s character finds a chance to shine at a “weekend fantasy basketball camp.”

Once the writing process is complete, the comedy film will secure a director and begin filming in the summer of 2014, coinciding with James’ offseason.

James originally signed on to star in the project back in 2009, but for unknown reasons, the movie was put on hold. “Ballers” will mark James’ feature film debut, while it is one of several films Hart is involved with in 2014, including “Ride Along”, “About Last Night”, and “Think Like a Man Too.”
