Legendary Keeper Andre Onana’s New Mural Unveiled in Leon, Mexico. A large painting of famed Cameroonian custodian Andre Onana was revealed on Sunday in Leon, Mexico, as part of a celebration of art, football and community motivation. As the event’s honoree, Onana was greeted by local officials, Mayor Alejandro Gutierrez among them, to formally unveil the striking artwork on Adolfo Lopez Mateos Boulevard, which is situated in front of the Leon Fair facilities and next to the Real de Minas hotel.
Onana used the event to give Mayor Gutierrez a surprise autographed shirt, and the two of them posed for a picture. Speaking to the assembled audience, Onana discussed his professional football philosophy and emphasised his conviction that one should always win or learn rather than lose.
“I have a way of thinking. I hope to leave the little kids here in Keeper Kombat with the persistent claim that I never lose, win, or learn,” Onana said. “Learning new things is always crucial for me, and I think that’s what matters most. I wish to inculcate in the youth a constructive оutlооk.”
Using his own lowly beginnings as a model, Onana said, “I come from a very humble family, football has given me a lot and the advice I can give is to always make an effort and work for what you want; with dedication they can really get where they want to go.” Onana inspires the young people to strive for their goals.
The dedication of Onana’s mural in Leon is evidence of his influence both on and off the pitch, motivating the upcoming generation of football players and advancing the idea that art has the ability to unite people.
