Refusing to release Quansah, Liverpool closed the deal for 85 million pounds for Gordon’s season
According to Team Talk, the Anfield team is accelerating in the race to sign the Newcastle star.
Anthony Gordon is facing the possibility of moving to Liverpool this summer. The Kop are currently in talks to recruit the England international from Newcastle United.
Despite facing quite a few obstacles, when The Kop refused to include Jarell Quansah in the deal , because they saw this name as a long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk. However, according to sources from Team Talk, Liverpool are also preparing a new offer soon.
Liverpool wants to recruit Gordon this summer.
Specifically, they are preparing to make an offer of 50 million pounds and goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher to convince their partners to release him.
Liverpool value the Republic of Ireland international at around £25 million – £35 million, meaning the total cost of the deal will range from £75 million – £85 million.
It is known that coach Eddie Howe does not want to part with Gordon, however, with Newcastle needing to balance their financial budget before the deadline in early July, they were forced to sell the former Everton player to solve the problem.
