Osimhen signs, Rashford exit, centre-back duo confirmed – Manchester United could make ETH’s dream 24/25 line-up come true

Manchester United appears to be entering a new era, bringing with it enthusiasm about what the future holds.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Ineos Group have steadily implemented modifications at Old Trafford, with some of the most significant occurring in recent days. Dan Ashworth was announced as United’s new sporting director earlier this week, following his departure from Newcastle.

United also announced that Erik ten Hag has signed a new deal with the club. The Reds’ manager has committed to staying at Old Trafford until 2026, and preparations for the following season will begin soon.

The summer transfer window is open, and United has been connected with a number of prospective new arrivals. The Reds are reported to be looking to reinforce their centre-back position this summer.

Matthijs de Ligt of Bayern Munich is a target for United, but he is currently with the Netherlands side for Euro 2024. Jarrad Branthwaite, an Everton defender, is also a player of interest for the Reds.

In midfield, there is also talk that Benfica’s Joao Neves might be a target for United. The Portugal international is said to have a release clause worth more than £100 million, and Benfica is unwilling to take anything less.

Several forwards have been linked with moves to United. The Bologna striker is one player who might move to Old Trafford, since his contract has a £34 million release clause.

There have also been some rumors linking Napoli attacker Victor Osimhen with a move to United. However, this may be the most unlikely of transactions to occur, unless monies are raised by the sale of one of the club’s top talents, such as Marcus Rashford.

If United allow Rashford to depart the club, a replacement might be identified. Osimhen is regarded as one of Europe’s most brilliant strikers, and signing him could be a dream scenario for United.

When it comes to current players, several are still regarded as key components of United’s roster. Andre Onana, Diogo Dalot, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo, Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund, and Amad Diallo are all potential starters for Ten Hag next season.

If United signed all of the aforementioned players, the roster at Old Trafford would gain much-needed depth and quality. However, it should be noted that the lineup stated below is a ‘dream’ situation and may not actually occur.
