The price is 31.6 million euros (27.6 million fixed with 4 million euros in surcharges) with Man Utd receiving most of the money from Greenwood’s sale in the future.

The proposed deal still needs to receive the 22-year-old striker’s approval.”

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano confirmed: “Marseille has been given the green light by Mason Greenwood as the final details of the contract and salary are being discussed. Greenwood was offered a contract until June 2029.

Manchester United accepted an offer of 30 million euros from Marseille, including a provision to receive nearly 50% of the proceeds from selling Greenwood in the future, from June 2025 to June 2029.

Only the final details from the player remain, then the deal will be approved.”

Thus, Greenwood will soon leave Man Utd this summer. Man Utd does not have any plans to retain young British talent under pressure from public opinion.
