Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Manchester United is ahead of Real Madrid in the Leny Yoro deal. However, they need to wait for a nod from the player.

In addition, they also sent a second offer, worth about 50 million pounds to Everton in the Jarrad Branthwaite deal, but it was rejected.

Lille insisted that Yoro accept Man Utd because this was the best offer on the negotiating table. Yoro always prioritizes Real Madrid and is waiting. The decision belongs to Yoro.”

Romano added: “Real Madrid is still very comfortable and calm with the Yoro case even after Man United took a step ahead.

Real knows Yoro wants to join them. The deal will be done this summer for just under 60 million euros. Or Real is happy to wait until June 2025 to sign Yoro as a free player.”

So, just by convincing Yoro to nod, Man Utd will have the person they need.
