Nike kicked off their 2021 campaign with a spectacular collaboration, the ‘Chosen 2’ pack, uniting two of the world’s top athletes through special edition footwear: the Mercurial Superfly and LeBron 18. Kylian Mbappé, after receiving his special gift from Nike, showcased his new boots in PSG’s recent match against St-Étienne.

The ‘Chosen 2’ pack was officially unveiled just a day before Mbappé revealed his new gear. He proudly displayed both the LeBron 18 and Mercurial Superflys, opting to wear the latter during Paris Saint-Germain’s 1-1 draw, marking Mauricio Pochettino’s debut as manager. Mbappé’s performance was notable, playing a significant role in PSG’s equalizing goal.

The Mercurial Superfly from the ‘Chosen 2’ collection features a distinctive KM x LBJ pattern on its black upper, complemented by silver accents and an iridescent finish. The boot includes a ‘Chosen One’ ambigram logo on the toe, 3D KM and LBJ logos on the heel tabs, and dual Swoosh logos on the forefoot and sock liners. The left sock liner displays a football x basketball pitch/court graphic, while the right features a LeBron x Kylian ambigram.

Both Mbappé and LeBron James received their sneakers and boots in a specially crafted presentation box, which cleverly separated each footwear piece with the pitch/court design. Mbappé made a swift debut of his boots, leaving fans eagerly anticipating whether LeBron James will sport his new signature LeBron 18s in the upcoming Lakers game against the San Antonio Spurs.
