Nike has introduced a special edition Air Zoom Mercurial, marking Kylian Mbappé’s fifth signature model with the brand. Inspired by the Jordan 7 and Parisian afropop, this new design represents a significant milestone as the first player-specific version of the updated model and the fifth iteration in the new Mercurial line. Mbappé, recognized as a pivotal figure in Nike Football’s future, enjoys the perks of this status, including the debut of his latest signature Air Zoom Mercurial edition. Dubbed the “Dark Beetroot/University Blue/Metallic Vivid Gold” colorway, the boot features a prominent beetroot base complemented by striking gold accents that highlight the branding. Notably, the Swoosh logo incorporates a subtle ‘M’ kink, a nod to Mbappé, with additional ‘KM’ logos appearing on the collar and traditional tongue area. The instep showcases intricate Air branding, while the heel stands out in contrasting blue with accents of purple and red.

Mbappé will wear the Superfly IX version of the boot, although a Vapor XV edition is also available for those who prefer a more conventional collar-less fit. Eyes are now on the PSG star as fans eagerly await glimpses of these boots during training sessions, with expectations high for their debut in an upcoming Champions League match against Juventus.
