Marcus Rashford and some of his Manchester United colleagues returned to Carrington on Monday following a summer holiday for their first new season’s training session.
The Red Devils’ top players missing due to international events were seen returning for a quick practice on the opening day of preseason.
Rashford was joined by prominent people such Andre Onana, Casemiro, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka as the emphasis turned to the upcoming campaign. Many on Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 roster were shocked by his omission of Marcus Rashford, whose season was disastrоus.
With just eight goals, the forward’s performance off the field seriously damaged his reputation at the club since it fell short of the total from last season. Harry arrived at Carrington Monday morning in great spirits, while missing his three Lions colleagues in Germany for their semi-final game.
Ruud van Nistelrooy, who will be joining Erik ten Hag’s backroom group, also attended the session.
The three Dutchmen’s visa applications have not yet finished the appointment of goalkeeper coach Jelle ten Rouwelaar, deputy managers Ruud van Nistelrooy and Rene Hake, and coach Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Though Van Nistelrooy, Hake, and Ten Rouwelaar were all present, United’s first non-international players returned to the Carrington training field Monday morning. Reversing the Burnley post to return to his old team, 48-year-old striker Van Nistelerooy had guided PSV Eindhoven to Eredivisie second place and the Dutch Cup.
Following an outstanding senior coaching career marked with stops at PSV, Van Nistelrooy—who was seen returning to his hotel later in the day—comes back to the team where he scored 150 goals in five years.
