LET’S THROW BACK: Kylian Mbappe’s First Football Boots with Nike

Young French star continues collaboration with Nike with a special football boots collection named Kylian Mbappe.

To mark the start of a new decade from 2020, Nike launched a promotional campaign centered around the young star Kylian Mbappe. Over the past decade from 2010 until now, Cristiano Ronaldo has been the leading star for Nike with multiple shoe collections branded CR7. However, recently, CR7 has not been the most prominent face. Therefore, Nike has shifted its focus to PSG’s number 7 forward – a new icon of speed and youthful vigor in football.

The Kylian Mbappe boots are part of the Nike Mercurial Superfly 7 Elite FG series. The shoes feature premium Flyknit technology for maximum breathability and comfort. The molded outsole with arrow-shaped studs ensures stability and firmness during movement.

The boots stand out with a design in white and green, complemented by vibrant metallic gold accents. These colors draw inspiration from Kylian Mbappe’s journey from playing street football in Bondy to starring on the World Cup stage. Notably, the area of Bondy, also known as the administrative region number 93, is prominently displayed on the toe of the boots. The Nike logo is similarly designed on the upper. At the collar of the boots, two stars symbolize France’s two World Cup victories and Mbappe’s KM logo.

Finally, the boots are completed with Mbappe’s name in gold on the heel tab, with the ‘M’ derived from the Nike Mercurial logo. This highlights the collaboration between Nike and Mbappe.

These special boots were released on December 8th with a price starting from $300, approximately equivalent to nearly 7 million Vietnamese dong. In addition to football boots, Nike will soon launch a Sneaker Airmax 98 inspired by Mbappe.
