Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones, and Ibrahima Konate trained with Liverpool on Tuesday afternoon

Gravenberch and Konate, who were given time off after Euro 2024, have finished their first pre-season session with Liverpool at the NovaCare Complex in Philadelphia.

Jones was replaced in the first half of a friendly against Real Betis last week but helped the Reds prepare for their game against Arsenal on Wednesday.

Arne Slot, Liverpool’s new manager, is currently assessing the players he inherited from Jurgen Klopp during their pre-season training in the United States.

Klopp helped Slot “enter the club on the right foot” by introducing him during his tearful farewell and asking the audience to support the new manager. Klopp even wrote a song for Slot.

Slot has shown humility and respect for the current Liverpool team by not immediately insisting on fresh signings. He employs some minor but significant tactical differences from Klopp’s direct attacking and counter-attacking approach.

Alexis Mac Allister, who became an important player for Liverpool last season, believes Klopp’s departure and introduction of Slot will benefit the new manager. Mac Allister has already discussed the club and the new coach with him.

Slot’s possessional-based footballing approach could help improve Mac Allister’s quality, and Liverpool may need to sign a natural defensive midfielder to ensure Mac Allister plays in his preferred roles.
